 Hello...Cookie and Cake lovers! My name is Rebekah Shaw and I am the Owner/Baker of Love at First Bite. I live in Red Lion, PA with my wonderful husband Nate and my 2 beautiful daughters Madeline and Charlotte.
On November 23, 1978...a baker was born. I grew up in a beautiful, small town in Central Pennsylvania with my parents and 2 older siblings. As a young child, I spent countless of hours in the kitchen with my mother watching her bake. I of course, was much to young to use the oven, so I did the only thing a child my age could do...I licked the batter out of the bowl. When I wasn't in the kitchen, I would spend the day painting and drawing what ever I could find as my subject. I didn't know it at the time, but my love for baking and art were about to collide and form something extraordinary.
My real love for baking began about 10 years ago, when I started making Christmas cookies for family and friends as gifts. I enjoyed watching their faces, as they indulged in each one of my sinful treats. I knew at that moment, it wasn't just about the cookie...it was about the passion and love, that I put into my work that made them smile. I was so passionate about baking, that I knew it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
A dream came true October 24, 2007...I started my own business Love at First Bite...a gourmet bakery with an artistic twist. I combined my love for baking and art to create a unique variety of baked goods.
Every creation at Love at First Bite is baked fresh and made to order, using the finest ingredients. I take great pride in my work...and I hope you enjoy it as much as I love creating it.
